PostSubject: How important for campus student to drive a car?   Fri Jan 09, 2009 7:38 am

Nevertheless, guys usually wanted to have their own car, and drive it to the finish line, but for student, is it that important? Normally, all that can be watched from any film or movie where college student drive their own car to campus, and for that reason I might say it is important to have our own transport.

Significantly, its important for your ownself-transport, I mean easy for you to move around. Since, campus area is huge, so any possibilty can be happened such as late for classes. If that happen, you will need something that can help you to move fast and thus, all you need is your own transport. However, if you still a freshmen, The Administration wouldn't let you to do so. They only allow you to have your own transport after your First year. Furthermore, from others view, having a car also help you to find part-time job. As a student, monthly allowances will not enough for paying course expenses that you take. So, you can go to work easier and quicker by car. But, Imagine how nice to drive a car with a girl at the backseat, I don't mean that, just kidding.

On the other hand, you should think twice for the sake of your monthly expenses too. The reason is, having your own transportation will only deserted your monthly allowances. For example, think about this, paying for your car maintenences are as twice as the price for filling up your stomach; no doubt about it. As far as your allowances concern, you will facing serious money problem than you can ever imagine. Moreover, there is also a possibility for your car to get stolen by car-theft. If such thing like that going to happen, it will be hard for you to facing the reality though.

In a nutshell, I stick to my stand where student should have their own car, because their is a time where you will need it the most-even it will take longer than it should.

Agreed. We as a higher education student should have transport as such that we can control and can be used anytime. I have problems going out on a rainy day or going to places that is just too far and taking public transportation would be such a fuss.

Hold your horses mates. It may seems good to have one, but think about the expenses. A rent-car or a self-owned car? Self-owned ones would be costly. A rent one would be costly too. There are many types or models of vehicle. A four-doored one? A double-doored one? Four-wheel drive? A cubical one? Talking about the renting, different type, their cost would be different. Let kancil be the choice, since it would only cost for about RM 200(maybe even Rm 200++)Taking the rents out of the picture. How about the fuel? Yes, a small Kancil would be around RM 10-20 monthly nowadays. Yeah, 10 for a month and you can go anywhere, worth it, some would feel, though it still depends on how many miles you travel though. 10 bucks for a month, how many months you would be needing it? It should be as long as the semester goes on maybe(maybe 4-5 months).

Total up all the cost. How much would it be? Minimum RM 210 for one month. 4 months? RM 810 for the minimum for the convenient or maybe, let's say, a monthly insurance paid to make sure you are not late for class and for you to get all the leisure and pleasure(hang out, fun, the blings, social bashes, you name it).
Daily expenses are not calculated yet. Rations? Phone-bills? Wireless service bills? Electricity? Water? How about time?

It would be lovely to have one Meserati in your stable beside your noble castle(home). If you have the bucks, why not try the trucks? Chopper? But hey, a chopper for a college student? Even you have the bucks, does the bucks just exist by itselves or by your two old pals back at your home, sittin' blue in the fireplace, hugging each other with torned blancket, with you out there as their pride?

Weigh it, lads. Worth it? Or doesn't?
